The Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) is an electrical system used to ensure continuous power supply by automatically transferring electrical loads between the main utility power and a backup generator in case of power failure.
The ATS continuously monitors the voltage and frequency of the main power source. When it detects a power outage or instability, it automatically starts the generator and transfers the load to the backup source. Once the main power is restored and stabilized, the ATS switches the load back to the utility supply and shuts down the generator safely.
ATS panels are essential for critical facilities such as factories, hospitals, data centers, and industrial plants where uninterrupted power is required.
